About us

Woofree is a site created in October 2006. Previously called Desgarcas, Woofree was a site only in Spanish. After a while the statistics marked a vast area of visits from all over the world so we decided to use the English language as a base.

At first we were only a handful of users who exchanged links. In less than a year the site grew significantly. We had 15,000 active users and thousands of daily visits.

In early 2008 we implemented an option to upload all files to our server so that users could download all the material directly without relying on external servers. In this way we avoid broken links and form a large database of material for mobile phones.

2 years to comply, in October 2008, Woofree had more than 25,000 users and over 7,000 direct downloads. The site was beginning to have an enormous size, this became one of the biggest  sites of stuff for mobile phones.

In November 2008, we had serious legal problems with some company develops games for mobile phones and therefore lost much of our database. Currently we’re working very hard to regain the previous level of the site.

Now, We have better tools, better design, and a more stable site. We’re now in a new server free of complaints. We’re improving day to day to become one legendary Woofree!.
